Airport keep disconnecting every few minutes

Hi,

I don't know why, but my airport keeps disconnecting every few minutes, although it reconnects after that.
I'm sure there's no problem with my router since other PCs in my home are fine.
It's totally fine when I use my windows in the macbook (via bootcamp).

Anyone has the same problem or anyone knows the solution?

Thanks. 🙂

This started happening to me in the last few days. It is driving me completely nuts. I can barely read a single page between dropouts. I have to scroll down the list and click my router every time it drops.

I have found a few "fixes" around but none work after you go on battery power. I have no problem with wireless under Boot Camp or on any other pc in my house.

My signal dropped out twice while writing this.

I've got the same problem here.

My airport signal disappears and if I click on the icon, there are no networks listed (and there are 10 here). Then it will just pop up again.

I know my network is working, the light is green on my APE and my iPhone is online when this happens.

I'm glad to hear this is software related and not hardware, but it still stinks.

I've had this issue for about a week and it has made my Macbook nearly impossible to use for anything other than local disk work.
Last night I tried running the standalone upgrade and it worked beautifully, however, upon booting up this AM I'm back to square one, constantly dropping the connection, ran the standalone update again and back in business with no drops.

While this is appears to be my temp workaround I don't want to be doing this on a daily basis.

HELLO APPLE what is the deal ?

Yeah, this has happened to me, too. Apple Care on the phone pushed me off onto the genius bar at the Apple Store. That guy pushed me off and said that it is probably a compatibility issue with my router and that it is just a coincidence that it started happening after the update. I got my computer on January 29 and I'm beginning to regret it.

I have been experiencing this for almost 2 weeks now. It started when I received the latest update from Apple. I thought I had fixed it at first by putting in the tp4 address into the DNS, but that didn't last. I thought my newly bought Mac was crashing!!!

My friend who just bought an HP vista laptop is having no problems at all!

Is Apple going to fix this? It took me 15 minutes just to register for Apple discussion because of consistent connection lost!

I am having the same problem with intermittent wireless disconnections on my macbook and home wireless network (AT&T/2wire). I just bought this macbook yesterday as my very first Mac product, a decision that I now regretting. It would be comforting to see apple actually ACKNOWLEDGE this is a problem instead of just ignoring it, which it appears to be what is happening.

There's another very lengthy topic on this issue where users complain that this has been on-going since 10.4.10:
