Windows Media Player replacement

Please someone tell me that their is one! I've been given some WMA files and either want to find a better player or some software that will convert them for iTunes.

Right. I've found a bit of software which will translate WMA ro WAV. Tthen I can import the files into iTunes. Then I can convert them to AAC and attach artwork. Wonderful. But everything comes up in reverse order - that's OK with the Beatles but irritating with Schumann.

Without making each album as a playlist, how can I import WMA files in the right order? I mean - once they have been imported to i Tunes.
