DMZ and NAT

Hello,

I would like to open all the ports. I have tried to insert a NAT configuration like this : 1024-65535 for TCP and UDP but it doesn't work because some ports are allready open (how to know whiches ?). After i put my IP in DMZ zone but it doesn't work with Transmission and EyeTV for example.

I have tried a neighbor Internet Provider ADSL-Modem-router and it works with the airport extreme used as bridge. It is why i think airport extreme is not NAT and/or DMZ compliant.

Is it right ? Is there a tip to have all ports opened with airport extreme ?

A couple of thoughts:

a) Are you certain that the device your base station is connected to is just a modem, and not a combo modem/router/gateway that is doing its own NAT internally?

b) When you set up DMZ, did you follow these instructions:

1. Open AirPort Utility, select your base station, and choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open the base station’s configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
2. Click the Internet button, and then click NAT.
3 Select the “Enable Default Host at” checkbox. The default IP address is 10.0.1.253. I suggest you use that default!
4 Enter the same IP address on the host computer. Also on the host computer, enter the subnet mask (255.255.255.0), router (10.0.1.1), and the DNS server address(es) of your internet service provider.
