Vodaphone UK signal appearing instead of O2 UK?

Hi,

I noticed my signal had changed to Vodaphone UK in the top left corner of my iPhone instead of the usual O2 signal.

I turned my phone off and then back on and it's back to O2 UK.

Will accepting or making calls using the Vodaphone UK signal charge me extra on my monthly bill?

 MacBook Pro 1GB Intel Core Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.11), Canon EOS 400D  iPhone 8GB 1.1.3
