When Safari downloads a bittorrent file (.torrent), it automatically launches a specific bittorrent client on my computer called Azureus. This client is no longer my preferred application, and I've changed this preference in the Finder's "Get Info" by selecting a new application (Transmission) to be associated with the torrent file type and clicking "Change All".
However, Safari still thinks Azureus should open torrent files. How can I tell Safari to use Transmission instead? Thanks!
PowerMac G5 Dual 2 GHz & MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz,
Mac OS X (10.5.1)
Update: I deleted Azureus from my Mac, and now Safari tries to launch a different application - Miro - when a torrent file is downloaded. This is not the desired app either.
Does anybody know how to reassign .torrent files to a specific handling application?
How exactly did you make the changes in Finder "Get Info" area that you noted above...? I'm having this same issue with Azureus and want to change applications...
