iPhone crashing constantly

I recently upgraded my iPhone to the new software and firmware (), and now it crashes all the time. Specifically, it crashes every time it falls "asleep" for more than a few minutes. When I try to wake it up - by pressing the home button - I just get a black screen with the clock, network and battery status at the very top.
