Play Multiple Songs with Slideshow?

Perhaps use an app like QT Pro or Garage Band to edit the songs together as a single file and then bring that one file back into iDvd as an aiff.

I find this disappointing. A two song (or as many as you like) is easy to do in windows. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong while working with iDVD over the weekend.

It's a bit simpler than creating a single sound file in Garage Band or Quicktime. You can use an iTunes playlist.

I agree the iTunes playlist approach to adding audio in iDvd should work 100% of the time ..... but does it work well in practice? If you conduct a search on this forum, you will see this isn't always the case..... sometimes it's as simple as running apple's software updater to address this issue, and other times it is not.
Nevertheless, the iTunes playlist approach will work (most of the time).

just so I can make sure I understand this...
I create a playlist in iTunes for all three songs I want on a single slideshow.
Then while using iDVD, in the media/music option I can select that list and it will copy those songs over to the slideshow.

Can I then delete that three song playlist or does it need to stay for iDVD to play prior to my burning the file onto a dvd?

most likely you can get rid of the original playlist and it will still burn your iDvd project. but just to be on the safe side, i'd leave it alone right where it is until after the DVD is burned and then delete the playlist.

Just select all 3 songs and drag them into iDVD and presto. The songs will play in alphabetic order so if you want them to play in a particular order just make sure you rename them temporarily until you burn your project.

You will need to keep the playlist intact as iDVD only links to the music tracks as it does to photos or movies added to the project. Once the project is saved to disk image or burned to disk you can delete the playlist. Using a playlist you can put the songs in any order you like. Just remember to select the playlist only, and not try selecting the tracks.
