UK user with a little issue with iPhone

Ok so i understand that Apple is an American company but surely the iPhone should be clever enough that when i try to set a location to get the weather it should look first in the UK then abroard. I work in rugby so thought i'd add Rugby to my list of weather areas, it found Rugby, ND not Rugby UK. i have set all loaction settings in the iPhone to England UK but still it want's to be in the US. not a major issue but i'm on O2-UK and all loaction settings in the iPhone i have changed to UK but still why the American dominance in the iPhone. another area is the keyboard. why do UK users and none USA users have to have an extra button if they want to use UK symbols like "£". Apple need to make the iPhone more international and allow international carriers to mod the phone so that the defaults are for that country.

The weather is from Yahoo not Apple, you could suggest feedback to Apple but really Yahoo would have to update their servers.... Now as for using the £ the iPhone has this:

settings----> General---->international---->keyboards----->turn English UK on and English off

or leave both on and toggle
Apple added this feature and did it really nicely actually
