I have read that the source code of apple´s vpnd is available for download but I can not find it.
I´d appreciate if someone could post me a link.

You can download the Darwin source from http://darwinsource.opendarwin.org/

Using the search box at the top of the page indicates that vpnd is part of the ppp project, the latest version of which (corresponding to Mac OS X 10.4.2) is available at http://darwinsource.opendarwin.org/tarballs/apsl/ppp-229.2.tar.gz
