Problem with Port Authority

Port Authority, the Darwin Ports front end, seems to only download packages,
but not "build" them, i.e. compile and leave an executable in /opt/bin. My
specific package is gnucap (GNU Circuit Analysis Program).

It also leaves processes labeled, IIRC, "tclsh 8.4" running, and I have to select
and remove them from Activity Monitor.

Does anyone here use this program and have any suggestions?

OTOH, I find Fink Commander a breeze to use in installing packages.

I was just talking to someone who wanted a fink port of gnucap, so I made one for version 0.31. It's in 10.3/unstable now and passes all tests except for some differences in "very small values" that I assume should really be zero. It'll be in 10.4-transitional/unstable as soon as we finish test-compiling it.

Thanks for the reply and for putting gnucap on Fink.

I downloaded the package via a CVS update, which went on for quite some time. I suppose the site browse function would've gotten me the file faster. However, the CVS update reveals some interesting "unstable" packages which I wouldn't have seen otherwise.
