Anyone know how to delete a non existing sharepoint on Leopard Server. I have a share point called 2 with a path of /Volumes/Server HD/2. If i share the that particular sharepoint it creates a share called 2 (1) with the same path and then both shares are being shared. Then if I unshare either share the (1) share goes away but the original share still exits. Basically I cannot remove the sharepoint from Server Admin. I currently have 3 shares having the same issue. Is there a manual way to remove the server admin/sharepoint path?
I had the same problem. It started by having volumes that had spaces in the name and then renaming the volumes and I couldn't get rid of the share. The information for the sharepoint it is stored in /var/db/dslocal/nodes/Default/config/Sharepoints directory.
In there you should find plists with the name of your shares. I just deleted the plist for the share that was giving me trouble and rebooted. Everything looks ok.
You can use the inspector in work group manager to do this also. It has replaced the alot of the functionality of the netinfo manager from 10.4. Just make sure you are looking at the local domain and not ldap.
Thank you dstark, I went in and deleted the files from the sharepoints dir. Restarted and viola! You think they would just have a force remove built-in to Server Admin.
