Linksys Wireless-G Print Server

Does anyone have any experience setting up a Linksys Wireless-G Print Server? I configuration is:

iMac G4, OSX 10.4.11, Epson Photo Stylist 820 and Linksys Wireless-G print server. I am going thru a router that I can get the IP address for, but still the printer does not work. Help, I'm a Newbee and I can't get up!!!

iMac G4, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

You've probably figured out by now that for Windows there's auto-setup software, but not for Macs. We just need to know where in the manual to find key info to enter in Printer Setup/Print & Fax. Page 44 of the manual has important info - the queue name for Port 1 is P1 (see IPP client setup for Windows XP and 2000). So, choose IP printing > IPP, and enter both IP address and queue name.

For driver - you can't use Epson drivers for network printing - their drivers were written for USB only. You'll need to use a CUPS driver. The Gimp-Print drivers included by Apple in OS X are CUPS drivers. To get the latest version go to:

Thanks for helping me. I tried installing the printer with the protocol of IPP but still did not work. I installed it as a Line Printer Daemon and it worked with the new CUPS drivers you pointed me to. There is a significant pause between when I press the print button (on file>Print) to when the output starts to print. Is there a way of decreasing this delay?

Thanks
