snap to grid?

hey i have a question, on this leopard, how do i make it so that icons stay nicely and snap to grid? i mean i went to view settings and chose snap to grid and made it default but on some folders some icons are still all fuzed up around in the folder instead of being one next to the other nicely?

Choose 'Use As Defaults' from the bottom of the Sow View Options Menu -- after you have changed any folder window to icon view and Snap to Grid.

Unfortunately, no existing icons will move automatically. You will have to choose Clean Up from each folder's toolbar the next time you open the folder in icon view. I agree - it's a pity that this can't be done automatically by the Os.
