Imac g3 power cable?

Hi
does anyone know where i can get another power cable for my imac g3 and what is it called.
your help is much apreciated

Hello,

On the iMac G3 it is simply a bog-standard "kettle" plug (the standard is called IEC 320 plug):

Um, no people think that, but its def. not...I have plenty of kettle leads, there not the right lead!!!

Well your iMac G3 must differ to mine.

iMac G4, iMac G5 and Intel iMacs use a variant of the IEC 320 called the C5 "Cloverleaf" perhaps some later iMac G3s did too:

I have never - ever - ever - since the very first imac - seen a different connector on the back of a G3 iMac. As Mr Totes says. it's a standard IEC mains connector available from any electrical shop in the UK.

The G5 imac has the cloverleaf (Mickey-Mouse ears) connector and the G5 has the standard IEC again (although the Apple version has a collar on it to make it look neater).
