Keynote taking 3 clicks for new bullet point to enter screen

I have a Power Point presentation that I have converted to Keynote because the animations available in Keynote will simply make this presentation much snappier.

The problem I have is that on slides where I have bullet points that enter the screen from left to right on the click, it is taking three clicks on either the remote or on the keyboard to get the new bullet point to come onto the screen.

I'm just trying to figure out how I can get it so that I only need to click one time to get the next bullet point on screen.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Russell
I have had the same thing before.
this is caused by the way powerpoint does bullets. I don't think I would know why or how to explain. but if you redo the bullets using Keynote it no longer has the extra spaces between bullets causing you to click through. It is inconvenient but I have not found another way to stop it. Perhaps someone else will have a better idea.

Thanks for the information.

Here is my follow-up. And I hate to say this, but I can't figure out how to do bullets on Keynote, and it seems that it was much more intuitive to do this on Power Point.

I have tried working with the inspector, but I just can't get the bullets to work.

Any suggestions on how I can learn or where I can turn to learn how to do some basic tasks on Keynote?

Thanks.

A couple of ways to use bullets.
First you can choose a slide that already has bullets turned on, you do that by clicking the blue button masters and you can choose the master you want for your theme. or in the inspector you can click on the slide inspector appearance and check the box body this will add a bullet box to your slide. If you want to add bullets to an individual text box you can also click on the text inspector on the third tab bullets you can add any bullet you want. change them even import your own custom bullets.
I hope this helps
