volume problem fro my ipod shuffle

I'm experiencing the same problem. I've charged my shuffle and the volume is very low and sounds "tinnie". I know it's not the ear phones, they work fine with other equipment. My shuffle is less than a year old!

I thought I would try the shuffle and see how it works, before i spent a whole lot of money .I got it about 2 months ago. Thanks guys. This seems to be a typical problem and have found that you get what you pay for. My advise is to burn all the music you buy, from Apple ,onto disks, before you somehow loose that too.

Hey, I had the same problem when I first bought my Ipod. The issue is not with the Ipod its with iTunes, go to Preferences then Playback, change the volume on SOUND ENHANCER, I recommend the sound check but thats personal.

After you do that, connect your Ipod and go to settings uncheck maximum volume, and sync. I added memory for Ipod usage to make sure (decreases # of songs for ipod usage)

same problem here, less than a year old...can't hear it above even the lowest ambient noise...now useless...thanks apple

maybe you need to up your volume a little bit I know that with mine some songs play louder then others.

Same problem here. Volume with the Ipod Shuffle is so low that you can barely hear it with other low noise around you. What is the solution?

The volume of the songs is not the problem. On other ipods, the music is more than loud enough. The volume on the shuffle is not even close to the volume level on other ipods.

Hi - I have the same problem - I can barely hear anything and I have done all the recommended checks. I have set the "Limit max volume" setting to maximum. Have you had any luck resolving this?
