Can't receive emails via pop3

Hey everyone...

All of a sudden a few days ago I stopped being able to receive my emails... they are pop3 account - on my one account i get the message

- "There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account “BT” or try again.

The server error encountered was: The server “mail.btinternet.com” cannot be contacted on port 110."

any ideas why this happened randomly and what i can to to correct it?

don't know why it happened but i suggest you do the following:
1) check with BT to see if by chance you don't have the right settings
2) check with BT if they don't have issues on their end
3) in mail>preferences>account... in account information and in advanced check if you have the right user id, password, incoming server and port in the first pane and third pane.
4) check in keychain access in applications/utilities, if you have more than one password for that account by any chance, or of the one password is correct.

hope this helps

I am also having the same issue.

I contacted media temple to double check all setiings ( I am receiving emails, via webmail, but am not receiving them via Mail )

I have :
1. Check with my admin
2. Check my port settings
3. Deleted my mail acct all together and re-intered the information

right now i'm about to just delete and reinstall Mail.

Any help is appreciated.

Best,

W
