corrupted file or directory

my ipod won't sync to my new computer. I get an error message saying "Ipod can't sync because of a corrupted file or directory. Is my iPod toast?

I too am getting a message that my "iPod appears to be corrupted". Am I toast too? It also told me earlier that my iPod contains files that are in use by another application" when I try to eject the disk.

Well start with these articles and see if that gets you anywhere...

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...
