Is anyone finding their applications crashing a lot in 10.5?d

I must say that Safari crashes maybe a dozen times a day, Mail a few times, iTunes crashes randomly, and occasionally, I have to restart the Finder. This Leopard upgrade has rendered my Mac more buggy than any computer I've ever owned.

My experience is almost the same except that it occurred when I was running Tiger. Now that I have Leopard, it has been rock solid.

I believe that this was due to a hardware problem I had with my (then new) MBP when I installed Tiger for the first time: that it had corrupted some file somewhere, not enough to require a complete rebuild, but enough to cause a fairly wide range of apps to crash (typically 1 or 2 a day).

When I got leopard, I did a fresh install so that nothing was carried over, and I've had no problems since.

Was yours an upgrade from Tiger or is it a clean install?

Susan
