That is weird it should work just keep trying if not call support
Do you know what version of firmware you have on your iPhone?
jiang38,
The iPhone supports Bluetooth Headset Profile and Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile 1.5, so you will want to check with the manufacturer to make sure the car uses one of those profiles. If so, you can follow the steps in this article to help pair your iPhone with the Bluetooth in your car:

Hope this helps,

Check the firmware on the iphone. I assume by connect you mean you wish to establish a bluetooth connection to your car nav system. Some devices worked just fine with 1.1.2. Something happened with 1.1.3. I have a BMW with the nav system...no longer works. I have a Nuvi 660 from Garmin, bluethooth no longer works. Both worked before I updated to 1.1.3. These days I teeter on going back to my old sony 810. Iphone is a great phone but not worth the unexpected surprises like this. I have the apple bluetooth headset, which actually did continue working, however even the dock that comes with that product reports back as "This accessory was not designed to work with the iphone." Imagine that! It was a product singularly designed to work with the iphone! BUG!
Waste no time and restore back to 1.1.2
I have a Garmin and unfortunately 1.1.3 just did not work

My Acura MDX had no problem with the iphone until the last firmware upgrade. Now it will not find the phone. I love the new features but they just aren't worth not having the handsfreelink working in the car.
Has this been addressed at all by Apple??

Sorry but it's still not working. And it was definitely the firmware upgrade - I've done everything I can think of and find online. (turned off Wifi, myriad of other tips) and the car and phone do not see each other at all. The car now says 'no phone found'
So ball is in your court Apple. Fix this... you broke it!! It was working just fine - in fact perfectly before this last firmware upgrade. I was even able to have my phonebook imported.

THANK YOU!!! 1.1.4 fixed the handsfree link problem - I was just about to give up my iphone for another model
nicval,
Sounds like you are on iPhone 1.1.3, have you tried updating to iPhone 1.1.4 which was released on February 26, 2008?
Thank you,
Nathan C.
