System Fonts... Ouch?

System Fonts... Ouch?

Hello,
New user here and have a big problem. My boss gave me a disk full of fonts and reminded me not to install in the system font folder, and of course I accidentally did.

I just did a copy and paste way. Is this very problematic and is there anyway to restore the default fonts without deleting them or reformatting?

Just get rid of the ones that don't belong. Here is a list of the ones that do:

Not unless the fonts are corrupt, in which case problems may be encountered. Move everything in that Fonts folder out except for the following:

Apple Braille Outline 6 Dot.ttf
Apple Braille Outline 8 Dot.ttf

Is it a problem if like most of those posted fonts are not really present? Ugh. I prob messed this whole thing up. I have Leopard 10.5.1

Edit: Is there a way to tell which dates the fonts were modified and then delete all the ones that are made not on this date? Would this work?

Make really sure you are looking in the right place -- System/Library and not Library. If you deleted most of System/Library your OS would probably not run, and you should reinstall it.

WOW! So I wasn't installing in the systems folder. My bad. No wonder none of those fonts lined up. Ha. Thanks to your posts and sorry for the mix-up!
