Corrupted Helvetica Neue?

My fonts have been acting weird. In Dashboard, the weather and unit converter widgets have a really wide font. The correct font is Helvetica Neue Bold, which shows up fine in Font Book. But the only way I can get the Dashboard widgets to look right is if I go into FontExplorer X and activate a second copy of Helvetica Neue Bold. Then Dashboard looks fine, but if I go into Font Book, it says there's a conflict. As soon as I disable the font in FontExplorer X, Dashboard goes wonky again.

Do I have a corrupt font?

You could try deleting your font caches and rebooting - see http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_16763&sliceId=1 - otherwise you could be seeing the result of adding a third-party version of Helvetica Neue to your system. If you find different versions of this font in any of your font locations, remove the third-party ones. You will need to check all the multiple font directories, ie:

Users>your username>Library>Fonts
Library>Fonts
Network>Library>Fonts
System>Library>Fonts
