Over the last day I have been getting static over my Plantronics 610 headset. Thinking it was the headset, I switched headsets to a Plantronics 645 and still got the static. Based on this, I guess it's not the headset, but the iPhone. Does anybody else have this problem?

I have a bluetooth car kit which is great apart from when poeple talk back to me they can only here their voice echoing back. There is a big problem it would appear with the bluetooth part of the i phone
I just started having this problem lately. Also some erratic behavior when trying to answer calls.
I have Apple bluetooth

I was having problems with my Jawbone. I ended up unpairing and paring it a couple of times and it has been fine.
I even took my jawbone and exchanged it for a new one, same problem.. Called apple, they said that the jawbone was not supported, and told me to by the apple bluetooth..

I started having the same problem with static using the Bang & Olufson headset. I tried a different headset, still had static, which told me it was the iPhone.
I tried several suggestions from this board without success. Then I found the following link, and the Reset Network Settings worked! At least for now, the static is gone.

I have the same issue with my 610. Tried my wife's Motorolla piece and the same thing! Something about the 1.1.3 update has screwed up Bluetooth for my Plantronics AND my Garmin!
OK, I was thinking it was just me imagining things but I think the 1.1.3 firmware really has messed some things up. I've had my iPhone since day 1 and been happy (mostly) with it. I purchased a Jawbone several months ago and was very happy with it, until recently. For the past month or so I have been unable to make a clean call using it and most of the time I have to switch back to the iPhone itself. Oh sure, if I hold my iPhone right up to my ear it seems to work "OK", but whats the point of having a BT headset if I have to hold my phone up to my ear anyway!?!
Previously I was able to use my Jawbone all over my office. In fact I was amazed at how far it would reach and how clear it was. Now I can't even move it inches from my ear before its unusable. Nothing has changed in my environment (same office) or my equipment (same iPhone & Jawbone) yet my experience is drastically different.
The other thing I noticed around the same time is that my WiFi connection keeps getting messed up. In fact the iPhone actually reset it's MAC to another value - the one reported in the settings was completely different than what was connecting to my Airport Extreme! Also, my WiFi connection suddenly cannot talk to my Airport and keeps telling me that I have the wrong password - even when I haven't changed it and/or I reenter it. This is happening with two different Airports on two different networks. Very frustrating!

Ok so I'm not going crazy. I have a headset and a car bluetooth and they both are now unusable due to static. I wasn't sure when and have just been very frustrated, as they both worked PERFECTLY before. In fact I was so impressed with the improvement over the sound on the iphone bluetooth over my old treo.
Have other poeple used the full network reset with any success? the restarting bluetooth did not work for me but I hate to enter all new wifi passwords.
I guess the next step is the apple store...

I just started to have the same problem this morning. Everything was working just fine until I tried to make a phone call and received a bunch of static on the Iphone Bluetooth headset.
I just updated with 1.1.4 and it seemed to fix the problem.
::UPDATE::
I have updated my iPhone to 1.1.4 and replaced my Jawbone headset. So far so good, but I can't be sure which one fixed it (if it is indeed fixed). I've only had this combination for a day and haven't really had a lot of experience with it yet. I'll report back later if it still fails to satisfy. 🙂

Corrado..
The symptoms that your describing with the bluetooth static and the WiFi issues are identical to mine. I just reset my phone (hold home and reset) and now I can connect to wifi again and the static is improved. Before the reset the bluetooth has so much static that it was unusable.
BTW.. I am using the Apple Iphone Bluetooth headset, so it's an Apple issue for sure. I don't think it's the headset.
I am sure that Apple must know about this issue. Hopefully they won't wait till version 2.0 to fix it.

I used the link that barryf43 provided, the last option worked for me (it's also the least invasive):
Here's the text of that solution:
+*Toggle Airplane mode*: Turn Bluetooth off, then navigate to Settings, then slide Airplane Mode to On, wait a few seconds, then slide it back to Off. It seems that discontinuing and restarting the EDGE and WiFi components in the iPhone can restore connectivity.+

Would like to go on record saying v1.1.4 has this Blue Tooth static issue as well. I've had the phone for almost 2 weeks, have only used v1.1.4. It happened to me two nights ago and was so bad both the Jawbone and the Moto H9 were unusable. The Airplane Toggle Method did clear the issue for me, does anyone know if this is a logged bug with Apple?
I am on OOB 1.1.3 (out of box) because I had to get a replacement iPhone and only on this new phone has my bluetooth been staticky. The other one was running 1.1.4 and had never given me any problems before. And I'm sure this is an Apple mistake because I put my SIM card into my Nokia E63 and made a call and the bluetooth was just fine. I toggled airplane mode and it took away the static so far. If the problem perisists I'll try updating to 1.1.4 and hope that helps.
