Pages '08: How to set Pages as my default word processor application?

OK, so I just kicked Microsoft Word out and have converted to Pages as my Word Processor. So my question is, how do I set Pages as my default word processor. Text documents want to open in Text Editor.

Mac Book Pro / G5, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Hi Brian,
Nope there isn't bonehead questions, not to worry.

If you're talking about being able to open MS Word document in Pages by default then it's a file association issue easily solved.

1. Highlight, not open, a MS Word document
2. File > Get Info
3. Down the list is Open With:, change it to Pages. You'll have the opportunity to have it change for all like documents.

Hope this helps you.

Sincerely,

RicD
