Yikes! I had successfully moved all my mail from the inbox (imap) to a new file created on my mac. I then attempted to create another new file for my sent mail. At some point--and I'm not sure how (if I knew, I might not need to be posting at this moment)--both new mailboxes disappeared, taking all my mail with them. I've searched through my library (home-library-mail) and cannot find them. I've done a full search on the hard drive, and looked in the trash. They must be under my nose, but I have no clue. Any suggestions as to what might have happened or where the files might be located? I'm using mail 1.2.5 and have had no problems with it up to this point.

    Hello Kenneth.

User created "On My Mac" mailboxes are located within the Mailboxes folder at Home > Library > Mail > Mailboxes.

If found within another folder within the Mailboxes folder, you can move the created mailboxes to the first level within the Mailboxes folder using the Finder with the Mail.app quit before doing so.
