Help please. I can burn Data/MP3 CD's but not Audio CD's.

As the subject says I create a playlist and click burn, if the settings are on Audio CD it will stall and error out on the first song. The progress bar barely moves just a little bit before stalling. If I burn a Data CD it flies through it and works great. Other things to note are I have tried slowing down the burn process to 8x. I have tried 3 different Sata burners. Microsoft built in burning software works great and so does nero, just not itunes Audio CD's. Thanks for any help you can provide.
