Itunes and Creative Zen players

Hi

We have both PC's and Macs at home and while I have a new IPod Touch, my wife has a Creative Zen Touch player.

How can we transfer songs from her Itunes library from either her PC (Itunes for Windows) or my Mac (Itunes for OS X)?

thanks

Mac mini C2D 2.0GHz, 2 Gb RAM, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 500Gb WD MyBook external hard drive

iPod supports MP3 and AAC. Zen supports MP3 and WMA. So make sure the songs you are talking about are in MP3 format.

If on the same computer, add the MP3s in the iTunes library to the Windows Media Player library. If on a different computer, copy them over, using a handy medium such as a flash drive.

Assire that your future purchases do not contain DRM. There is no DRM scheme that is common to both iPod and Zen.

Thanks ed2345 for your answer.

All the songs are in mp3 format. DRM is not an issue, in this case.

I'm not really familiar with Windows Media Player so bear with me for a minute. I know there are some songs in her actual WMP library. So I would have to figure out a way to get rid of those songs most of which are also in her ITunes library and then import them in a new WMP library. Right ?

If the two of you are on the same computer, just tell WMP to look for the ones it does not already have. In WMP 11 that is Library > Add to Library; might be different in other versions. WMP and iTunes both can point to the same copy of a song, so you only need one copy of each song.

If you are 2 separate computers, make a copy of whatever one has that the other wants, and move it over.
