strange characters appear instead of text
I'm getting weird characters displayed in my Mac Mail and some web pages instead of text. It's a bunch of symbols and numbers showing up instead of a text. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi Joshua I had the same problem not so long ago most annoying. But hey GOOD NEWS I sorted it out. I found the problem to be a corrupt font in my fonts folder.
Here's what I did, Remove the Font folder with in your user account ie
OSX-Users-your account-Library-Fonts.
Make a new folder on your desktop called ( whatever you like ) place all the fonts contained in your fonts folder into this new folder.
1 or some of these fonts will be corrupt, you can then reintroduce them 1 by 1 back into the original font folder, or delete them if you don't require them.
