Can't change my homepage on Safari

When I click the preferences button under safari I get the following window

I have tried going into my library and deleting the safari.plist file then resetting safari but the problem still remains. Any ideas?

macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Hello. Thats the "Advanced" tab you are clicking on in Safari Prefs...try going to Safari Prefs. and click on "General" tab then you should be able to change your homepage. If there are no icons at the top of the Safari Prefs. box ie. General / Appearance etc. click the small oval in top right corner of box. Cheers
David.

the oval button I usually click on to hide and show the information isn't there either.

There isn't an oval button in Leopard's Safari.
Let's try this with a restart this time.

1) Quit Safari and drag the 'com.apple.Safari.plist' file to the trash.
2) Restart your Mac.
3) Then launch Safari and check it's Preferences window.
