QuickTime and a TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this pic

Hi everybody,

first of all, I dont know where to post this question so please let me know what section to post.

I get this message:

QuickTime and a TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture.

when I try to open certain pictures in Adobe Illustrator.

I dont want to start downloading things without being sure they work.

Anybody have any sugestions?

Not sure of the relevance here, but might there be a cross-platform issue? I see this exact 'error' in PowerPoint presentations created on a Mac then viewed in Windows for images that were copy/pasted or drag/dropped into the slides. When I insert the images with a menu command/dialog box there is no problem.
