iBook g4 800 RAM

What kind of RAM is appropriate for an iBook G4 800? I know that, officially, only a 512 mb stick is supported, thus searching for that model on Tiger Direct, etc. only brings up 512 mb. What can I use for 1GB memory?

B&W G3, G4 iBook 800, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

Hi,

You can use either PC2100 or PC2700 200-pin SODIMM RAM. 1GB will work in it. The reason Apple only supports 512MB is 1GB sticks weren't available when they wrote the specs for that model and they never go back and update them.
