Boot Macbook Pro from external keyboard

Hello all,
I have my macbook pro under my monitor (in a stand i built) and my question is, if I have to shut it down, is there any way it can be started up again using my new apple wired keyboard, a series of keyboard commands, etc. as opposed to unhooking everything, sliding it out and using the power button near the keyboard?

No Mario,

You can use an external keyboard to "wake" it up from sleep, but not to boot it, to the best of knowledge, as the USB port is not "active" until it has been started.
