MacBook Core2 Duo will not save WPA Keychain or Connection timeout

I have both laptops running Leopard 10.5.1 with all patches applied. At home I can connect to my wireless network with both. At work the new Core2 Duo will not connect or save the WPA password in the key chain. The error I get is "Connection timeout"

Working : FA254LL/A
NOT Working : FB061LL/B

My WIFI chipset is at 152 F

This was ONLY with a MacBook Core2 Duo FB061LL/B and Channel 11! I had to change my channel to channel 10 and all was fine for a while.

Now with 10.5.2 I can only use channel 5! This was with my current Core2 Duo and my original MacBook! Using both DDWRT v24 rc6 on WRT54GL 1.1 hardware and WRT54G 3.1 hardware. Both devices use Broadcom radios, image that!

At home it was VERY apparent that 10.5.2 broke things, I was using wireless on channel 6 and 1 and as soon as I rebooted to get the new 10.5.2 update no more WIFI!

What are mortals to do? go back to wired?

This was with WPA Personal TKIP

I have an open support call with Apple and will update the call. After N is a real standard I will be throwing away the Linksys WIFI routers at home, most likely buying an AirPort...

More issues with the 10.5.2 update. The Original Macbook MA254LL/A had issues with permissions on the 10.5.2 update and I cannot get the permissions to repair. I will be looking in the leopard support area on instructions how to get those reset. A re-install of the downloaded 10.5.2 did NOT fix the messed up permissions. The permissions are so bad on the MA254LL/A that I cannot even connect to an un-encrypted network. When booting from a firewire drive with 10.5.1 I am able to connect, so I know the wireless hardware did not die with the upgrade.

I'm running Macbook w/10.4.11 and experiencing the same problem when my college IT dept. attempts to add a WPA2 key. WPA personal and WEP keys are saved without issue. The WPA2 key will is not saved after the initial connection is made.

This seems to be a widespread issue, based on some of the web postings I've read. Has anyone seen any type of a response from Apple?
