iPod Nano will not turn on.

Question

iPod Nano will not turn on.

Ive had my 4 gig iPod Nano since Christmas 06 and its worked just fine. But suddenly I go to turn it on tonight and nothing. I take it off my iHome and nothing. Just black screen. Nothing it doesnt even glow or say "Charging" when its on the dock. I cant seem to reset it. Its just stopped working.

Any idea how I can get it back on?

I'm having a similar problem. My 8gb 2nd generation nano won't turn on. When I plug it in to my USB port iTunes doesn't recognize it, and the iPod icon won't show up on the desktop. Thinking it was only out of batteries, I plugged it into a wall outlet overnight, but there's still a dark screen.

I've tried troubleshooting tips and the iPod still isn't reacting to anything.

Well, I fixed my iPod! Kind of by accident, actually. I pressed the center button, and at the same time pressed and held the 'menu' button. I think I had to press the menu button twice (all while holding the center button down), but the apple start-up screen showed up and a few seconds later everything was working fine!

well i have kind of a similar problem my ipod charges put it doesnt appear on itunes and when i urned it on it just show a pic of an ipod and this sign! i dont know what to do anyone?help

ive got the same problem its just a blank screen. i just hit menu and it blanked out. any idea how to fix it???

i have the answer!press and hold center and menu button until it comes on to apple screen then leave it for no more than 1 minute

Pushing center Button down and then the Pause Button
Worked, it showed the apple logo then came on, then it showed the apple Logo then came on,
after the second apple logo, by holding the pause button it did shut down
for good, it now Tuns off and On and woks fine.

ugh i have the same problem. and i simply cannot LIVE without my ipod. I tried to hold down the menu and center buttons like you've all suggested but it STILL isn't working. Any ideas at all?

i have the same problem...i bought my ipod yesterday and this night i tried opening it and it didnt work, i tried connecting it to itunes yet it still didnt work. I tried connecting it to a charger and instead of showing the usual green colour, it was orange...any help because the solutions dont work for me

My ipod is having the same problem and I have tried everything including the center button + the menu button and the center button + the pause button but it still will not turn on. Also I kinda feel like I am doing CPR to my ipod when I do the two button combo.
