Stanton T.90 Turntable USB Hum

I just bought a Stanton T.90 turntable and was thrilled with the USB audio interface. That was until I heard the low level hum while my iMac is recording. When I use analog connections through a USB Griffin iMic, the hum is gone. While I could an analog connection, it defeats the purpose of buying this turntable for its USB features.

Has anyone else had a problem with this? Could it be the quality of the USB cable?

I'm in a newer apartment, so I would have to assume that all the outlets have to be grounded. Everything is 3-prong.

The hum only occurs when going from Phono >> USB >> iMac.

The hum disappears when going from Phono (Line Out) >> Griffin iMic (Line In) >> USB >> iMac.

I tried to search on the internet but it doesn't seem anyone else is having this problem with this turntable.
