128 MB Ram and Puma, Tolerable???

On a G3 Imac, 500MHZ with 128mb RAM, is puma going to be suitable for running safari and using appleworks? Should I upgrade to 512? All I need it for is the internet and appleworks. Will puma be good enough, or am i Going to need Jaguar, Panther or Tiger?

Macbook CoreDuo, 2.0Ghz, 2GB RAM./ Al iMac 2.4 Ghz, 4GB RAM, 20 in., Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Could firefox be installed if Safari isn't?

The latest version of Firefox will work with OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). You'll want at least this version of OS X to run a current, modern browser. Although IIRC older versions of firefox (1.5) run in 10.1 so for the absolute basics you could get through.

To answer some of your questions from the other thread:

is Puma even bearable? Is the interface anything like tiger, does it have a dock? Do u have to go into finder to open APPS.?

There is a Dock and Finder. The finder is significantly different than found in 10.3 or later though. You can see a screenshot of the desktop:

and finder:
