Logic shortens my midi-notes

Logic shortens my midi-notes

Can anybody help me: I have a midi part for 1 bar, which has a note in the last Takt from 4.2 till 4.4. . So, if I use the Loop-Function, to extend the bar to more equal bars, then the last note won`t be played.. What should I do for settings, to let the last note be played?

I can't really understand your problem - it sound like an overlapping issue to me so that there is a Midi note off command shortly after the Note on command is triggered. Just a guess - maybe you can try to rephrase your question so one can understand the actual problem.

Yes, it is a overlap-problem. In fact, the notes are not really overlapped, but the last note from the loop doesn`t play. So what should I do?

Shorten the note before the note that doesn't play maybe - this could be the only note to cause an overlap problem then...

It should be a legato to the other note, so it`s not good.. In the bars before everything is ok. Only if I extend the loop (duplicate it), then the last note of the loop does not play. Is there no setting for this kind of problem in Logic?

I mean, a legato from the last note of the loop to the first again. If I mark the takt and hear it as a loop, then it`s ok, but if I extend the loop (duplikate it), then the problem accures.

Try not to duplicate the region but using the Autoloop function (select region and hit L on your keyboard). Does that solve your problem? If so the duplicated region starts to early in the timeline and cuts off the last note of your looped region.

I tried it this way, too.. It`s the same: the last note doesn`t play.. Although it`s a long note, exactely 4.3-4.4. (half-note). It works only if I make it from 4.2.

But you understand my problem? I mean, it`s not normal, isn`t it?? I just changed from Cubase to Logic! :-)) It`s in almost every loop that you have notes after 4.2... How should it be looped then or extend the loop??

This problem has never occured to me so I don't know what you're on about. Everything loops fine here as it has done for the last decade or so....

Yes, it is strange.. Now, I tried to copy the loop and to paste it right after the other. Now the last note plays, but if I do it with the Loop-Funktion (L), then it doesn`t play the last note..
I think, there has to be something in the settings.. But I don`t find anything in the manual..
