Finalize an open disc!!

Hello Everyone, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but iI'm thinking if anyone can help is you guys.
So Ineed to finalize a disc on my mac, It was made in another device and they forgot to finalize it and i can't find a way to do it. any suggestions?

of course my powerbook doesn't recognize the disc, and toast tells me it contains data but gives me an error when i try to copy it. hope you guys can help

pick a small file (any) and burn it onto your un-finalized CD (I did it with Toast).

this does not make any sence

who mentioned CD?

I presume the original poster will have a DVD disc as this is the DVD forum?
if it is a DVD disc and it has not been finalised, Toast will certainly not be able to add files to the disc
It therefore must be a DVD disc from a DVD recorder or camcorder which must be finalised in a video recorder.

if however this is indeed a CD, it wont need finalising anyway as the disc will have benn finalised either as a session or a finalised as a disc
