Keynote on Ipod Touch

Is it possible to use my touch and connect it to a projector to display a keynote presentation?

Thank you.

Yes it is. You can get a presentation onto the iPod touch as a QuickTime movie or as a series of images. If you do it as a series of images, you lose the cool effects of Keynote (you're limited to Cube, Dissolve, Ripple, Wipe Across, and Wipe Down), but you can advance the presentation at your own pace since the iPod does not display control commands on the screen. Using a QuickTime movie, the iPod touch helpfully provides a heads up display on the television whenever you pause the presentation, so the best way to use it with movies (and not mar the look of your presentation) is to start the video and have everything timed and don't allow interruptions. 🙂

Oh, and you'll need the special composite or component cables for the iPod touch (and iPhone). The Cables are $49.99 for either and if you also spring for the $49.99 Universal dock, it comes with a remote you can use to control your presentation.

The dock does not have a regular connector for composite or component cables -- it just has the Apple iPod Connector. The Apple cables are funky items that have an iPod connector at one end, then split off into a USB connector (for hooking up to a charging adaptor), component/composite connectors, and stereo connectors.
