Diet or regular Snapple? If it is the regular you have sugar on the inside of the iPod and it would need to be opened and cleaned out.

Not a good idea to turn on an iPod while it is wet. If it was diet Snapple set the iPod in a cool, dry place for at least 7 days and let it completely dry. After this connect it to power (a wall charger works best) and let it charge for at least 30 minutes. While it is still connected to power Reset it. This may take several tries. If it revives, let it fully charge and Restore it again.

If it was regular Snapple, or this doesn't work, you can send it to a 3rd party repair site, such as http://www.iresq.com to have it repaired. You can use Google to find more repair sites.

If you're opening it up to put a new battery in anyway, something else to try is place it in silica gel, or another desiccant such as rice, inside of an airtight container such as tupperware or a ziplock bag. This will suck out remaining moisture. Or if you don't want to open it you could try this before opening, don't know if that would work.

I have dropped my cell phone in water 3x now, and every time it was not operating properly a few mins after. Every time I put it in rice and tupperware and anywhere from 24 - 48 hours later the phone was working again! With the phone I took the battery off and put both in separately, I think the more surface area exposed to the desiccant the faster it will work. At the very least, this is cheap and can't hurt to try, if it doesn't work then you can replace the battery!
