iPhone and Digicam Photo Uploads

I believe there are a couple of iPod accessories that allow you to store the contents of an SD card to an iPod. Does anyone know if this can be done with the iPhone? I would like to use my iPhone to backup photos I've taken when I go on vacation and I don't want to bring my MBP along just to backup photos. I'm hoping that if an accessory works with the iPod, it will also work with the iPhone.
