Exporting using Cineform Codec

Does anyone have experience with the Cineform Codec? I need to export a bunch of 1080/30F HDV footage out by using the Cineform codec. I've never used it before and was wondering if can be directly through FCP or if it will need to be through Compressor or what...

Yeah that's the site I found too for downloading the trial of the Cineform converter. I'm just wondering if it can be done directly in FCP?

This will need to be exported directly from FCP. However there are a couple of things to note.

1.) The Cineform Export Codec must be purchased. Importing and viewing is free.

2.) Cineform for the Mac only works with FCP 6 EDIT:(not FCP 5).

3.) If any pulldown work needs to be done, that work will need to be done with the Windows version of Cineform.

Thank you this is really helpful. I was just told that you may be able to export out via QuickTime Pro using the free trial of Cineform? Have you done/heard of this?

One of my co-workers is a developer of Cineform. The export component must be purchased.
