Web-site wizard software for mac os x

I was just curious if anyone might know of any freeware on the web for a web-site wizard for mac os x. Several sites offer it but for windows.

Hi Eddie,

what exactly do you mean by "web-site wizard"?

If you are asking for free software to create and maintain websites there is NVU:

I think there are some other solutions as well, that's just the one I'm using. Some people say that NVU has "rough edges", which is not too far fetched. It all depends on your needs......it works pretty good for me.

Eddie,

What sort of website do you want? How complicated will it be? Will you want to update it frequently? or will you be putting it together once and rarely updating it? What's your skill level? What's your willingness to learn? Do you already have a host? If yes what technologies are you looking to use on your site?

That makes a difference in the recommendations people make. You can sign-up for free blogging or get content management system (CMS) tools or applications, or get free/shareware that will make static pages, or if you want to hand code there's some great editors. Some free webspace (e.g. geocities) will have "online website builders".

For out-of-the-box blogging with free hosting try blogger.com, for a freeware html/php editor try Taco. If you have paid hosting somewhere with databases and other server side scripting, it opens up alot of other possibilities. You may want to look at Opensourcecms.com if you want a CMS.
