iPhone and Blue & Me in Fiat 500 UK

Does anyone know if the iphone works with Fiat's Blue & Me. Have asked before and trawled the net but not been able to find an answer. Does anyone have an iphone they use with Fiat's Blue & Me?

According to this article http://www.businessweek.com/autos/content/feb2006/bw20060202_986426.htm it should work, however I am slightly skeptical as we all know the iPhone's terrible low in compatibility!! But it is a fact that you will get the whole "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone". But good luck, and let us know if anything more.

I just ordered Fiat 500 with blue&me.
Took it for a spin and tested my iPhone with it.

- Bluetooth handsfree works like a charm. Good sound. Even recognized contacts via voice dialling without learning curve.

- message reader did not recognize messages (I didn't have new ones, though).

- USB port charged iPhone, but did not play the music over the system. The dealer promised that it would once it is set up, which I did not have the time to do.
If it does, I'll be one happy camper!

Cross your fingers for an early delivery date!

Hey mate. Did you get the iphone to work with Blue & Me? I also have a Fiat on the way with B&M and wanted to know if my iphone will work with it...

My brother took delivery this week, it works fine as a phone, as its Bluetooth. Don't think the ipod part of it works though.
