Default page setup

After I printed some pages in Quicken with the "Landscape" orientation, my Safari default page orientation is now "Landscape". I cannot find information in "Help" to allow me to reset the default to "Portrait". How do you do it? Thanks.

Hi

Page setup is designed to establish your "default" printing. Surprised the change didn't stick.

Return to your Quicken program. File Menu>Page Setup. Change the orientation to portrait, then select "apply". Quit Quicken. Return to Safari and do the same thing. Then, open page setup again. What is the orientation now? Ought to be portrait.

I believe I did as you suggested. When I went to Quicken, the page orientation was correct and at 100%. I clicked "OK", closed Quicken, opened Safari, changed orientation to Portrait at 100%, clicked "OK", and closed Safari. When I opened Safari again the page orientation was Landscape at 53%. I appreciate your help. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like it may be a Print Preference file gone bad. Just to be sure, try Safari from another User Account (you can create one, if necessary, in System Preferences>Accounts.

Log on to the new account and open Safari. Try the page setup there. If it works correctly, then the problem is specific to your regular user account. In that case, go to the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Preferences. There, move the com.apple.print.custompresets.plist file to the desktop, then restart Safari etc.
