Leopard won't install "Installation checks failed."

Hi ok we just got Leopard in work and I installed fine on my desktop and two of the newer MacBook Pro 3's but on mine i get the "Installation checks failed." So I looked it up on the web and did a disk verify, and verify permissions and reset the "PRAM" (the the apple pr on boot) but still no joy.

Show below in the install log and ideas?

Hi! THIS may help. The leopard disc checks the install dvd and the hard drive and is failing to verify them. The dvd drive could be problematic or the hard drive may be causing problems. I would boot from the Tiger install disc and erase the hard drive then quit the installer and try the leopard install again. If it started then I would partition as 1 partition and then re-erase using the Leopard disk utility and then do the install. It's always better to use the lastest versions disk utility. Tom

Yea after a bit of messing around I upacked the OSInstall.mpkg and found that my machine was in the hwbeSupportedMachines list. So I'll just have to get on to tech sup and get the correct CD.

Thanks for the help Tom.

Note to apple:
The fact that it took me the better part of 3 days to figure this out is a bit annoying! All that was needed to was make the log a bit more verbose and it would have been obvious straight away.
