Pop3 and auxpropfunc error generic failure

I have googled and looked around quite a bit but have not found an answer yet

has anybody seen this kind of problem?

The accounts that I work with can all login and get/send mail

Logs can get chatty sometimes, it does not mean there is a problem:

Although not quite the same as yours I think it still applies. Its your mail server and you can do what you want however slight overkill on the rbl list don't you think? I only every use one/two at the most. I'm not sure the sorbs one is still relevant anyway?

True, I have not done any trimming of the RBL list, just adding.

However, This level of error only started occurring recently (last 6 months) and it seem to be getting more frequent.

Is the message related to one of the settings in the config? I have tweeked them in the last 6 months but nothing comes to mind which would relate to the error.

If it really means nothing how can I keep it out of the log file?
