Spilled Gatorade = Sticky keyboard mouse

By accident last night after studying and being extremely tired, I spilled a bit of gatorade on my Macbook's keyboard. While it was not major enough to have any damage to my system, the mouse on my keyboard seems to get stuck or makes a sticky sound when I try to click. Is there any way I can clean this, or should I just wait until maybe I click enough that the gatorade because unsticky and the sound goes away?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Welcome to Apple Discussions!

Unfortunately this may mean replacing your keyboard eventually as ants can often get attracted to such spills, and end up eating the circuitry or shorting it as they wander into the keyboard. In the future never leave food or drink near the computer. Food and drink can damage computers. My college even would expell students who brought food into their computer room. That's how seriously you should take it too.
