Nikon D300 tethered?

I can't get a D300 to tether in Aperture 2.0. Apple's link to list for supported cameras also doesn't work. If someone knows how to tether the D300 please advise or if there is a good link to the list of supported cameras.

Nothing working for me with my D300. Just shows my Epson Scanner - which is not on - as my connected device. Cannot take pictures. Changed USB settings, have all updates and tried on a Mac Pro and a Mac Book Pro. The Mac Book Pro showed nothing tether at all, but I could import the pictures. Between the activation key and this arrrrrrh . . .

I'm having the same problem with a Canon 10D.
When I set the camera's communication setting to "Normal" Aperture identifies the camera correctly, "Canon EOS 10D", however it doesn't import any of the pictures I take nor can it use the "capture" button, even tho its not grayed out. The camera is fully functional, it doesn't go into "busy"
When I set the camera to "PTP" aperture Identifies the camera as "Canon Digital Camera" and the camera goes on "busy". The "capture" button is grayed out in Aperture and I can't take pictures with the camera.

Yes this great feature is working ... luckily I did not switch to LR.
It worked after I switched my camera USB to PTP and highlighted the project into which the images were to be imported.
I went crazy on this tethering and invited my brother (he lives in NY, I live in Germany) to share my screen in ichat. he then pressed the mouse to get my D300 to make images. So Apple gets the communication over the ocean going!
