I recently installed clamav on my imac (leopard) and have had some problems. Initially it slowed it slowed the computer to a crawl. I was able to uninstall it but realized that since the install, I now have two of everything in my finder sidebar ie .. documents, pictures, music,...
I have verified disk permissions and no problems found. I have "removed from sidebar" in the finder menu but after a restart the duplicates all reappear.
Does anybody have any insights to this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your sidebar plist is hose. Navigate into /Users//Library/Preferences and move com.apple.sidebarlists.plist to the trash and then reboot. When the Finder comes back up, it should be fixed. Good luck...
I thought it was fixed but the problem happens nearly every time I restart now. The Mac is also acting very sluggish. Keep getting ACL found but not expected errors... usually on applications folder.
Here is a new one
ACL found but not expected on ".".
Does anybody know what may be causing this.

I had recently updated (auto) and then downloaded the combo installer and reinstalled update.
